Yarn Along

Following along with Ginny again this week.

Still knitting those broken rib socks.  I cast one off the needles last night and then realized that no one older than 10, and definitely not my 34 year old brother, could actually get their foot in it so I am ripping and watching old Thirtysomething episodes on Netflix tonight (Gary, Hope, Michael, and Eliot are household names here.  We talk about them as if they are actually a part of our circle of friends).

Just finished this and am starting Teach Your Own tonight.  Starting to consider our options for public schooling next year so I am collecting information and beginning here.

I'll have to check that book out. We just toured 3 elementary schools for Henry for next year yesterday morning. It was interesting. And honestly, a lot harder than it should have been considering that I am a public school teacher myself. Hmmm...

Oh, and I am so sorry about the ripping out of the sock. That was what stopped me in my tracks the first time I tried socks.

It is nice to see another 30something fan, I love that show...I was too young when it was first out, but I still watched it and I'm so greatful to Netflix for having it as a watch instant!
The sock looks great, even if you did have to frog it!

I am truly impressed that you are considering home schooling. Looks like an interesting book you just finished reading. I still need to get in on those 30 something dvd's. I know I will love it. I am finding that new show, Parenthood, to be ok and kind of true to our lives now as well.

So sorry about the sock, it's gorgeous! Good luck with your discernment, we've homeschooled for almost 11 years now, and wouldn't turn back :) Many blessings,
