Another Wednesday Yarn Along with Ginny...
Oh the knitting and the reading have been rather exciting for me this week (although the general population might find those words strange in one sentence together, I know that you will relate),
Two arms completed on the B.O.B.! Oh yes, I may just finish this one in time to make use of it this year. I really am in dire need of something warm and cozy and not a zip-up hoodie. I do love my Brooklyn hoodie but it seriously lacks style (so do I these days), fit, and form (I do believe I am actually lacking all of them...).
I am going to come perilously close to running out of yarn on this baby though so the project might be stalled. Ordering a new skein is not in the budget unless it absolutely has to be so we are waiting and seeing... Living on the knitting edge over here, I tell you.
The Good Life is proving to be a really very informative read. It adds color and shape to my own homesteading dreams. Meanwhile, I am tending to our backyard garden and enjoying some great gardening reads. The Family Butterfly Book and How to Grow More Vegetables are getting the most use right now.

looking so good, hope you have enough yarn :)
Yay!! You are so close - can't wait to see it all together. I really like the pattern - and also rely a little too heavily on the zip-up hoodie. Style? What's that?
Love your book mention. I need to learn speed reading for all these titles I want to get through!
Didn't you have a spring header yesterday? Winter hit again?
That pattern looks so great! I may have to put it in my queue.
Yarn Along has been so inspirational!
This book keeps jumping into my radar so I think I am going to order it. I do hope you have enough yarn to finish your project. The color you chose is beautiful.
Hope you make it with your yarn! I hate when I run out then have practically a whole skein left over. Thankfully, little heads are always needed to be kept warm!
Yay for 2 sleeves! Hope the yarn lasts. I almost bought The Backyard Homestead the other day, but talked myself into Modern Top-Down Knitting instead :)
Hoping the yarn holds out. What is it? It looks like beautiful yarn. oh, and I totally love that we all understand each other!
Looking forward to seeing the hoodie finished for sure!! I have Backyard Homestead but got too distracted with other reads to give it a good go. It seems like it's a great reference guide more than anything, no?
LOVELY looking sweater. I'm totally with you on the knitting edge as far as the budget is concerned. I'm definitely drooling more than knitting just now (no, not literally!) The book looks intriguing. I've come across it a couple of times now and might just have to harass the library as we are embarking on a big increase in our paltry veg production this year. Thanks for the inspiration.
I agree...knitting and reading can be very exciting! Love the color...enjoy your garden-it can be exciting too!
The book looks great!
I'm really into homesteading/ self sustaining inspiration at the moment.
One day.... one day ...:)
Hope you make it with the yarn, it's coming along so nicely, had to smile about "being on the knitting edge" though :)
I really would like to know what you think of The Backyard Homestead, as it's one I've been thinking of buying.
