Dress Up and Snow

Our collection of dress up clothes has been slowly growing over the past few months. My daughter discovered some old Halloween costumes of mine and we have acquired some from my mother. There is something very post-modern, disjointed and all together fantastic about the outfits that the kids put together on any given day. Recently, my middle child insists on wearing our green flowered mini-skirt (mine from a mystery dinner night long ago) over his fireman costume on any trip outside in the snow.

Oh to be three again...

This is awesome! I love the crazy outfits Ayden puts together with all the costume and clothing he finds.

Dumb Dad would lose his mind! He always gets so horrified when he comes home to find #3 looking girly as he's cooking in his kitchen wearing my knee high boots, a leather purse, an apron, and nothing else. Well, maybe it's that he looks less girly and more sluty that's really bothering him. Not sure!

How cute! My four year old insists on wearing the same headband every day. For weeks. And it doesn't match much. But I love that she loves it and feels strong about it.

Oh I love this so much! We've been doing a lot of dress up around here too but my little guy has very firm ideas about what should be worn together and "boy" and "girl" things. I wonder how things are so concrete for him at four?
Anyway, I have to go back again and take another look... so, so great!

OH, this was wonderful. When I opened the post in my window I could only see the yellow jacket, and then when I scrolled down I saw the full costume. Very sweet.

I love it when they dress up and insist on leaving the house like that!!
Especially the part when people look at me wondering if I noticed ;o)

OK, this might be the cutest thing ever. I so applaud you for her letting her dress up like this. She will never forget it

That is great! And I love that is your mini skirt from a former life. Way to go mom for allowing the creativity to flow!
