Sprucing Up Our Food

I have been bored bored bored by my food choices for the family as of late.  I am not sure what it is--maybe I am tired of our garden produce (our garden has saved the family heaps of money over the summer.  I just walk on by the vegetable section AND asparagus sure does sound good.  I am going to buy it guilt-free once the garden retires for the year) or maybe I am just plain tired.  Probably a little bit of both.  There has been little that has crossed our table that I am actually wanted to eat--until this little number a few days ago.  Black figs, french bread, melted brie, and bacon all topped with a drizzle of honey.  Outrageously simple and unbelievably good.
