Joining Ginny again today for her Yarn Along...
As I said yesterday, we are trying very hard around our house to find our rhythm again. The holiday bustle has thrown a kink in our home, a welcome one, but one that I am ready to say goodbye too (I just don't quite know how). There has been little time for reading as I usually read right before sleeping and I have needed all of the sleep that I can get (so that I can remain calm in the face of the chaos). What little reading I have done has been Winter World and some bits from The Children of Noisy Village.
I do most of my knitting while watching Netflix movies (or Thirtysomething reruns) on my computer at night. I have needed that time to check out at the end of these very long days so my knitting life has been rather full, I must say. Currently I am working on another pair of socks for next Christmas (determined I am to NOT experience the stress of holiday knitting again next year). I'll let you know how that goes...

bless you, I know that feeling too xx
that book looks interesting :) ...I'm starting christmas presents early too! - no more last minute knitting next winter! :D
The socks look fabulous :D
I love Bernd Heinrich, one of my favorite nature writers :) Socks look great too. Happy New Year!
You've reminded me that I need to find our copy of Winter World!
I am impressed! I always resolve to knit year-round for christmas, but it never happens! I am always getting good book suggestions over here, thanks!
i've not seen that book! a problem i think, with these yarn alongs! it looks so very intriguing! and fun!
Both of those books look great! I, too, have resolved to get ahead of the Christmas knitting rush for next year!
We're still trying to get back into a normal routine after the holidays to. I haven't seen a rerun of Thirtysomething in years! That would be so much fun to re watch them. I loved that show :) I'm going to have to see if I can find a copy of the Winter World book to. Looks really interesting! Happy new year :)
Oh, I know just what you mean. We're still off kilter here and I am so ready to get us back on track. I'm also thinking I should get started on holidays gifts already. I just don't like the stress that can come with a handmade holiday.
What a beautiful photograph. That looks like a great book!
Hey thanks for stopping by my blog recently.
Lately I rarely even manage a whole row of knitting in a sitting, and I'm looking forward hopefully to the time when I can sit down and knit in the evening after the baby goes to sleep, but for now when she sleeps I do too!
oh, where do you find thirtysomething reruns? I used to watch that in my other life!
